This is my new favorite Indian buffet! For $15.99, you have a large array of delicious food from which to indulge, vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Their samosas were so fresh (no sogginess) and a great size to enjoy and still have room for all of the other fantastic options. The chicken tikka masala is divine and the tandoori chicken is so flavorful and moist. They also offered chicken biryani which was delicious. Fresh hot, fluffy, crispy yet chewy naan was brought out to the table which we thoroughly enjoyed to sweep up all the Lucious sauces on our plates. There were also several dessert options offered... gulab jamun (superb!), mango pudding and a carrot something-or-other which I didn't not have room to try. Everything was fantastic! The restaurant itself looked clean and had about 20 tables or so. Service was attentive with waters constantly being refilled and plates removed when finished. Overall, a very delectable experience.
A good spot for chicken Tikka masala. The sauce was outstanding and the white meat chicken was not dry. Other great dishes include the garlic naan and onion kulcha, as well as the regular and vegetarian pakora appetizers. The Gobi Manchurian was also tasty with a sweet sour like sauce. All in all a great meal.
Delicious buffet with really nice selection. The staff was very pleasant and even obliged us with a picture for our memories. We never felt rushed. It was a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Our glasses were kept full and we felt free to visit the buffet as much as we wanted. Access to the buffet was easy and not crowded. The price was very reasonable. I would go again and plan to take my family.
It's been a few years since I reviewed this restaurant. So many lunches, dinners and takeout's over the years...India Gate is still the best. Tikka masala, butter chicken, vindaloo, tandoori chicken, curry fish...all amazing. Love the garlic naan! The service at this restaurant is excellent. Keep doing what you're doing. We'll keep coming.
I had the butter chicken and it was the best I've ever had. Its location is a place where you wouldn't expect yet the food and service can speak for itself . I don't usually leave reviews unless the food blows me away. Definitely coming back soon!
tl,dr: Always happy to get Indian food here. Likes: + Deeelicious exotic food. Various yummy curries and meats. Complemented by various naan breads. + I like how one order of a curry and one order of naan gives you enough food for both lunch and dinner. Worth it for the price. + Today was my first time trying their buffet, and it was a fantastic experience! Various foods to enjoy, especially the different seasonings of meat selection. And at only $15.99 per person! + Polite, helpful staff. + Sometimes they play Indian music videos on their TVs. Non-likes: - Only one restroom per gender.
Customer service was amazing! Food was delicious! My daughter and I were so happy when we randomly stumbled upon this place the flavors were their garlic naan is so fluffy we ordered extra to take home!
This is my go-to Indian food spot. They have a $15.99 AYCE lunch everyday, which is a great deal. There's a great variety of foods to choose from: the grains, vegetables, and proteins, sauces, and dessert. I personally really enjoyed the saag paneer, vegetable tikka masala, samosa, butter chicken, roasted chicken, and the mango yogurt desert. The sauce station has mint chutney, tamarind chutney, and tangy yogurt sauce. They also provide a side of freshly made garlic naan! Overall, all the foods were flavorful and delicious - I have no complaints. The way service works is incredible. You get seated quickly, can get the food, and can eat within 2-5 minutes arriving at the door. This system allows people to eat and get out the door fast, meaning there aren't lines even though every time I went there's always business. Today, I enjoyed the atmosphere a lot because they played relaxing jazz music in the background. The servers were also incredibly attentive and accommodating. I highly recommend coming here!
One of our fave Indian takeout places that we've tried recently. The malai kofta and vegetable tikka masala were both superb - creamy and flavorful - good portions. My husband enjoyed his mixed tandoori - flavorful meats. Garlic naan was delicious. The mango lassi was different than we've had - more light, refreshing - we liked it!
Here is another updated review for India Gate! I just love how affordable and delicious their lunch buffet is! As of 1/21/2024, the daily lunch buffet is $15.99 a person. Though their buffet options haven't changed, they offer plenty of choices that makes their price so worth it! There isn't anything that I wish they would have compared to other Indian lunch buffets. If anything, India Gate has all of the options I would want in other places. I mainly wanted to write an updated review for their service. Servers here have always been kind and attentive. However, this past 2023 year, I've gone on several occasions and there is this one particular female server who goes above and beyond for every customer and co-worker. She is always greeting customers with a smile and can really read the room. She is always doing SOMETHING - whether it is drying the utensils, or refilling water, or ringing people up, or wiping down the tables, or helping out her co-workers because they seem a bit slow... she is so on it! I always love seeing her when I come in because I know we will all be taken care of super well when she's around. She's not a manager as far as I know, just a really hard working person who deserves all the praise!
